I see so many people who have such shallow relationships with the people they surround themselves with. Their relationships…friendships… just don’t mean anything more than simply company.
To truly know someone, you must allow yourself to portray depth, but in order to do that, you have to find it for yourself. Too many people try to hide this depth, their emotions, and their mind. The reasoning behind it, though, has to be fear. Fear of the possibility that, if you show your True self, it will be rejected… it won’t be good enough… it won’t be appreciated… it will scare people off. So they hide it, and consequently, it becomes numbed. The more you numb it, the harder you’ll have to look to find it.
Once you find your depth, never let it go and let it radiate your being. You’ll be loved for it and you’ll love yourself for it because denying people of your true self deprives the world of your existence, and you matter to the world and the people around you. So have conversations about that existence. Have conversations that hurt, that make you feel. Anything that reminds you of the beauty in the fact that you’re alive. Have conversations that make you feel like you are more than your physical existence. Your physical existence, your appearance, means nothing in comparison to the intangible aspects of your being.
